Who is a good person?
He, who can not even unravel, what is good and what is bad?
He, who can just understand, what is good and what is bad and can not stay any more?
He, who can adjust himself patiently to both good and bad on knowing them fairly well?
He, who can reciprocate to every good and bad?
After all,
To know what is bad in other person, you must have understood what it is all about.
Then, what a good person means to you?
I know, it is not easy enough to give it a thought and at the same time it is very fair enough to ask ourselves this question once in a while, as we used to conclude people every day.
Before closing the post, let me tell you something…
From each and every category out of the four kinds of people said in the initial lines, so far, there are enough people who are remembered, who are valued, and who are respected and honored in every generation and history of the human beings.
Then, who is good specifically?
“Everybody is good and everybody is bad based on the circumstances”…huhhh…very simple answer and true as well…but this is not what expected out of the question. Please take time and do let me know your views.

hmm... a good person to me is one who is honest... who admits to his or her faults and sees the good in you... if he sees the bad in you, he tells the thought to you alone, and not in front of all so that u r embarassed... who makes the good in others show out even when the others intend to show out the bad part!!
yes.. circumstances do make a person good or bad.. yet even how you take negativity also influences it i believe.. :)
It's so difficult to pinpoint what really makes a person good...but these are my thoughts on the subject...A good person to me is one who is sensitive to other people's feelings, hurts no one, commits no crime and doesn't blame circumstances for his or her behavior. I really admire people who do not sit and judge other people.
A good person doesn't really have to be the Next Mahatma Gandhi..All I look forward to these days in a good person is an ability to mind his or her own business :)

Goodness is relative!To me a good person is someone who cares enough about himself/herself and others!
good is one who is good..that's all..

Hmm....One who is compassionate to all living beings....One who sees himself in every being...One who treats the King and the pauper, the wise and fool equally....One who remains the same wherever he may be....One who sees all living creatures as one and the same....One who has no friends and no enemies....And treats every being as himself....IS A GOOD PERSON FOR THE UNIVERSE AND ALL LIVING BEINGS!
Pramoda... I just want to add that this is not a concept...an Utopian dream...but a practical possibility!
I believe a person who listens to others but takes a leap is a good person.
I don't care what he does, but he should stay true to what he is.
Hmm.. this question is something I have given thought to too... according to me a good person is one who stays true to his heart...
for protective reasons (protecting your sanity) I will withhold tedious explanations :P :D

hmm i wonder this most of the times:)..hmmm for me a good person is one who can smile with all his heart with no guilt... even if he never helped anyone but himself, he should have not done anythin mean to others..if atleast once in a while if the person can bring tat smile u know innocent babies' smile type on any other person n lift his/her spirit tat's jus a plus point:)...
All depends on ur perception of mind how u wil differentiate between good and bad.......

Talking about the first category where the individual is not able to distinguish between good and bad must be a muff.The second category who understands the difference buy doesnt say anything is a coward and disinterested.I think most of us fall in third category.The fourth with an attitude of 'a tooth for tooth,an eye for eye' is vengeful.

2.Who is understanding,socially aware,caring and selfless
3.Who knows how to respect people, society and country as a whole

Well written post. I think goodness comes from within and expresses itself outwards through communication and action. Mostly, through simplicity and unselfish, unconditional giving for the society at large, not just for one's immediate social circle.

I found a special thing in every post of yours. Just you asks every person what they feel about the things and what is their openions right.. Better you should be a journalist. haahhaha

Lets come to your point of question. First of all I think you have targetted me and insisted to not to bring GOD into picture ... right? hhahh no probs..
I hope there is nothing like a Good or Bad in this universe. It is we feel everything and we accept what we want and it is we expresses everything as per our wish. If there is no Bad in this world, this means that there is no Good too. Because there is no shadow without you, the samething applies to Bad and Good too. There is no Good without Bad and viceversa.
Every person is unique, so everyperson does Good as well as bad. But the thing is how you accepting it. What you are learning with it. What you are giving to others. Also I hope both things should be there in a limited manner. Otherwise there is a heavy harm beyond it. For example
1. Sun gives us light and heat. But if it exceeds the limit which is unacceptable by us, then we may dye. Otherwise our eyes may effect. But if the same sun doesnt give light, plants may die.
2. We feel that we should not make harm to anyone. Not only annimals, lets take plants. There are some small plants which make harm to Paddy crops at the very beginning stage of their growth. So we should forcefully remove those harmful small plants. Here we are making some bad to provide good to others. This means that we are not doing bad, or good.
Just I have explained what I thought about the topic provided by you. So my only advise to everybody in this universe is "Dont thing howmuch bad you are getting from others, but just think about how much good you are providing to others. It makes you feel happy, depressionless and fresh and energitic days in your life."
Sorry for this long writing and making you to feel bore. There is so much to say but just stopped here.... hahahah
