Hypocrisy has reached to a level in India!

Vinesh Phoghat breaks silence: Everyone outside is treating me like I am a dead thing...One medal (lost) and everything is finished?

Hypocrisy has reached to a level that we just cannot live the way we can or we want. Success and failure define people here. No one cares enough to know the struggle behind it. Quality of life is badly hit. The only way is to be strong from within and do want we want to do and ignore the immature judgements people draw of us.
What Vinesh said about 'Simone Biles' thing in this article is true to the core. In India, be it in sport or in any other profession, just say that you are mentally not ready to execute something and see what happens next.
All these athletes are on their own during their preparations for a sport event. No one cares what they need, what they are going through, and what their opponents from other countries are gong through at the same time. We want them to win just because we watch them play during the event, and that too with the TV remote at hand to conveniently change the channel if the player is losing. Just because we watched them lose, they are losers. Not fair. Why can't we let them live or play it their way, irrespective of their win or loss! Sick.

Indian Idol - Shanmukha Priya

I started watching her performances to know why an 18 year old girl from Andhra Pradesh had been subjected to so much of online trolling. And now, she is one of my favorites. I'm amazed by her confidence, versatility, energy and the wholesome performances that she deliver, as if the stage is made for her. The way she owns every song that she sings, makes her look the 'Azoobi' of Indian Idol, not just of season 12 but of all seasons.

Hoping to see her reach greater heights.

The dark fact..!

"Hockey player Vandana Katariya's family attacked for caste identity after India lost to Argentina in Olympic women semi-final"

This news breaks my heart more than what the defeat does. I feel like shouting "it cannot be true", but it's the dark fact of the Indian caste system.
Irony of the games that people play - some on international stages and some in the middle of streets, some with unbeatable determination and some with unignorable egoism.
Amidst all such unfairness and discriminatory gestures, there have been players who have proved their mental toughness and competence. Hats off to them and their parents/coaches. Determination is going to prevail over every social barrier, sooner or later.
