Well tried Roddick…you have almost made it.
What a match it was. It had every thing in it. The amazing ‘fifty’ aces had made Federer’s intention clear, and the reply from Roddick was fantastic. For me, the moment of the match was certainly the one when Roger had recollected that Rafael Nadal was not there to defend his title.
Congratulations Federer, for becoming the only person to get ‘Fifteen Titles’ in the history of Grand Slams…

Yes that is why sampras is still above roger,coz sampras had more competitors with the likes of Agassi,courier,kuerten,becker,rafter,ivanisevic and many more as against only nadal for roger federer

What u said was absolutely correct, i agree with u. It was tough during Samprass' time and still he could able to achieve it.
We can easily compare 14 with 15, but its not fair enough to compare pere with federer. No one can say what would have happened had Roger been there in Samprass' time. Variation in competetion always leads to variation in performance.
Thanks for sharing your view with me. And yes, a champion is a champion. My intention was to congratulate federer, but not to demoralize the truth, in fact no one can do it.

While Fed was doing a round in the court with the cup rod was clapping for him. Even the star-sports commentators [amritraj & allen] were hoping fed would stop by roddick and give him a pat. but it wasnt surprising to see him move past a clapping rod without even a glance. Also how come someone appear for a slam final with 15 printed on his jacket. some may say it is his confidence, but to me it is sheer arrogance and disrespect for his opponents.

yeah, he cried and that's what he should nt have done ever. Nadal always respects Fed, his words, his body language resembles the same wnever he holds the winner's trophy alongside federer.
The tears were the outcome of his own expectations & of his fans as well. But fr sure, that's whr a player's sportiveness should have taken part!!! Any ways, he has his drawbacks like any other.
By the way, I'm a fan of Nadal..:)

Even I expected that he'd stop by..but it had never come.

I was surprised to see the number on his jacket, but i hav taken it in a positive way. It may nt always be disrepect to his opponents, it can be his own way of inspiring himself for an epic win. He wud hav never shwn the jacket had he lost the final. jus keep it simple.

im dissappointed rafa just lost his top spot after 47th week..6 short of an yr..
This wimbledon title was technically won by Federer. But the real winner is Roddick.
Nothing to take away from Federer though, he showed why he is the greatest.
But as far as this Wimbledon title was considered, Roddick deserved it more than Federer.
I made evry thing clear abt Andy in my post itself. He had been a great competetor throughout the match.
If we believe ppl saying "You get what u deserve", we can never really comment on who deserves what. lets congratulate the winner and encourage this time runner up.
