Straight trees are the ones to get cut first. Incidentally or eventually, they have been the most useful ones for the human civilizations since years.

That's why they say, "All depends on how you see it".

The straight ones get cut or blown off by storm while the crooked and bent survive the ordeal.As you have said rightly the message lends itself to different perceptions especially in human life
