I Promise You A New YOU...

Brother: (The next minute, his hand was at her mouth to feed her the food)
Sister: (downcast, with all tears in her eyes)

Brother: (was still calm and looking in to his food plate)
Sister: Really sorry. I was just … (Has not yet taken her food plate)

Brother: (was calm and getting ready to have dinner)
Sister: (she got realized of her mistake, they were at the dinning table) I’m very sorry.

*******
Brother: (He was calm all of a sudden, after listening to her words)
Sister: If you are not interested, stay calm. He and I will go. (She was so stern which made her brother hurt)

Brother: We will go tomorrow, after the exam. Ok?
Sister: All three of us shall go out for the dinner.

There lived a sister, a brother and his friend. They were all very close to each other.

Could you understand the above said story???

If your answer is “No”, then read on…

You could have understood the story had you read it from bottom to top. You would have read it from bottom to top, if you were taught of doing the same. There is a ‘definite set of thought’ in your brain, which says, ‘read any story from first to last’. If you can believe that the “definite set” is flexible to any change, then you will enjoy the life’s wonderful gifts.

There lies a kind of understanding in your brain and heart. There lies a definite set of thoughts as well. But coming to the point of understanding the other person, it is not so easy for you, not only because of the uniqueness in the other person, but is also because of the effect of the ‘definite set of thoughts’ that has been set by your nature.

You could have left the story in the middle, by saying that it was not understandable. But in life, such conditions are very important, where you can never leave a person just because you can not understand him/her. At times, you have to take the chance and try to understand the other person. At that moment, try to change the ‘definite set of thoughts’ in your mind and give it a try. You will definitely see a new YOU. And It promises you a new YOU.

Dear Prams,
Good Evening!

a very good thought expressed well, dear!
But,
When emotions rule,
When misunderstandings occur,
When you are totally hurt,
When your nights become miserable,
Noone remembers any stories or values,
Unless we have a very good friend to counsel n guide!:)
wishing you a great week ahead,
Sasneham,
Anu

Hi! Pramoda,
A wonderful thought very well expressed.
Hmmmm Pramoda! the defenite set of thoughts which are programmed within us is what we have been taught, maybe certain people who have broke those defenitions would have succeeded, but there may be another set of people stamped as lunatics just for changing these defenite thoughts...

Hi Young Lady,

I liked the analogy between the sequence of the story and thought process of an individual. Very sccinct and apt!!
haven't we all been taught/trained since our childhood to perform a particular task in a very specific way?? Since we are already trained, it becomes cakewalk to keep on following the already set rules.
Following the already defined rules is like descending a staircase (not much energy required) and setting new rules is like climbing the staircase (You need to make real effort to do so). If first approach (known) is failed, we should not give up. We should be dare enough to try different new approaches.

Cheers,
Jhansi

Wow! What a wonderful way of saying the thing! I was left thinking after having read your post...how true that we should not leave a person just because we are able to understand him/her. The fault lies not in the other person but in us...because it is our failure if we are unable to understand.
Thanks for sharing such a thought provoking and a meaningful post.

Hi Pramoda,
A nicely thought piece. It's true that by looking at yourself in a way that's different from how you see normally yourself, you discover a new you.

You have very subtly and beautifully described a very nice thought with that dialogue and narration. One must definitely respect each and every person because they are different and unique. Understanding everyone needs change in procedures in thinking, only then can we see how wonderful each person is, and how wonderfully mother nature has kept everyone unique, beautiful and different.

P.S.: You seem to have missed my recent two posts. Do read, when you find time.

Hi Prams,

Its always possible to go with the defined set of rules. Like you said, sometimes we need to think in different way to get well known about the thing we are unable to understand. Yes we need to give a try to understand other person with different set of thoughts, but should not be stick to the same way right?

Because your thoughts should be such a flexible to get back you to your original personality, otherwise you would need to see a different YOU.

All of all, I liked your try to set us to think in a different way. Good one :)
