I Can Only Envy Them…

On a rainy day, as I peep through my room window I imagine myself getting wet in rain leaving all tensions behind. But on seeing the children who stay in a small shed beside my flat, and are enjoying the rain to the fullest, I envy them as I can only imagine but they can live.

During a mid winter night, as I try to see through the same window, I expect to see no one on the roads. But when I see the children enjoying the winter flames with their heart, I envy them as I can only smile on seeing them, but they do laugh.

When the swine-flu destroyed the balanced Pune life, as I had to go out only with a mask, and while I could not take my breath conveniently, I envied them for not having any news about the flu in mind and for enjoying their lives with all those childhood games. I could only know the importance of my future, but they enjoyed their then minutes.
I can only envy, as I can not admire.

Happy Children’s Day!

Hi! Pramoda,

Living to the moments...sure the best way to cherish,
But when you envy them now, you too should have a bunch of memories, where ,without any apprehensions you lived up to the moments
Welcoming the rain on you,
Flying with the breeze that covered you,Living your moments with nature, let those moments make you nostalgic, and take away the envy... :)

A wonderful reflection of the innocence of a child, if only that innocence could remain with us throughout our live.

Dear Prams,
that is really a nice thought on HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY!Yes,a different note!
the free air,the beautiful nature, the carefree childhood, the joy and pleasures of the village kids are amazing!no fights for the change of channels,no chaos for the video games.......the
kite flying, the running races, living life to the fullest!
Hey,Prams, let us admire and appreciate them!I do relive my childhood, often!you know what,I am so rich with the unforgettable experiences!
wishing you a lovely sunday,

Pramoda,

Very nicely written bringing out 3 aspects - Innocence of a child, Lack of resources leading to simple carefree life and envy of an adult towards freedom of childhood to enjoy simple things of life.

Take care

Oh Prams,

they're the less privileged but see how good is God to them? they never get sick, have no fear of the cold, but they still enjoy life?

for me, i couldn't ask God for more, but rather i would feel pity for those children outside your flat window and i may ask God to bless them in simple ways that would continually make them happy and contented in life!

isn't it?

yes, you could only envy their innocent happiness but you can never admire their impoverished condition in life.

same here with me...
