Mistakes can happen anywhere, doesn’t matter who make them, but what definitely matters is the consideration levels of the same. Some are needed to be considered very strictly, where as some are not. My intention behind this post is about the so called mistakes which are not needed to be considered much or by doing which no major damage happens.
How one can conclude whether a mistake is to be considered strictly or not? Simple, it is up to one’s very own commonsense.
Consider a sports team; Captain drives the team, and the team members make the things work. Neither the captain, nor any team member is an exception from making mistakes. As I already said, some mistakes never do any major damage. The interesting point lies here.
Read on…
When a team member commits such a mistake, many fingers will be ready to point it out; but when the captain commits the same mistake, not many fingers can actually have enough guts to point it out. Interestingly, their own ego makes them believe that the reason behind not pointing out the captain’s mistake is the negligible consideration level that the mistake possesses.
Neither the mistake actually possesses the less consideration levels, nor does it possess the highest consideration levels, when it is done by the captain and the team member respectively. The difference lies in the way people manage themselves.
But the profitable thing that we can learn from this is: To make the team work with it’s highest potential, to bring an awesome environment in to the team, and to make the team feels that they have to get a responsible and respectful outcome, the best way is not by building enough guts to point the finger at the captain, but rather, it is by not pointing it out at the team member for such mistakes.
And I stress, this is not only applicable to a sports team, but it is also well applicable to any other team which is formed and committed to accomplish a good will.
Just for you, shown below is one of the positive quotes on doing mistakes;

One has to make some mistakes to learn from them . No one is perfect and mistakes always seem to occur when you least expect them.
Enjoyed the post also the words of wisdom.
Yvonne.
Beautiful Line & Very Much True :) :) Very Well Said :) :) Mistakes Has TO Be Learn New Concepts :) :)
Pramoda,
What prompted this post? We all make mistakes in our life and it is upto us to see that we do not repeat same. Also it is advisable to learn from mistakes others had made. In team work if goal is not achieved due to some slip up on the part of some team member/s, it is better to analyse that rather than saying not to point finger.
Take care
That poem is real morale booster. Thanks for sharing.
we don't acquire wisdom
until we make a few mistakes!
loved d lines !
wonderful post !
thanx for ur reply .
i hope u will b following me soon :)

The captain is only the first among equals.Mistakes by team members or the captain should be pointed out by any member if they wish to in the closed confines of dressing room and accepted where genuine in right spirit. But players avoid controversy with captain or senior members in their self interest. Hero worship is the bane of game.Criticism is generally reserved for the newer members in practice.Big guns go scot free with even press downplaying the blunders of the captain or icons.
but again- one (wo)men wisdom is another's crap... mistake is subjective.. so is wisdom.
1. all we need to know is nothing ends today..we always have some opportunities to change, to correct us/others/actions/reactions..impacts..
2. and for those which we can't..well if that didn't kill us then its ok... then refer point.1
I m tired ...
i really am...
i wonder who ll decide if i m wise enuf so i can actually stop making mistakes!
When I make mistakes, only then I feel my system's working normally coz i do it all the time, everytime!
Hi! Pramoda,
Hmmmmmm, mistakes and its lessons and then reactions, boss can always be late but u have to wait, its true that mistakes are mistakes only depending on who does it,grave mistakes like sati too were realised as a mistake after a long time, so realising a mistake is the most difficult part and that realisation is what clears our path to success.
hmm.. @ the rate i am making mistakes, i'll end up being wiser than Einstein i think Prams! ;) :D
but yeah, i don't worry.. coz i know by trying, i can fix it! :)
It's always nice to realize mistakes...but not on finger-pointing others... :)
Thanks for sharing this post...in any organization or team or group we can be in, this gives us much lessons..

hw's u doing??
Very true!
Making mistakes (because we were not sure enough at first go how to approach the situation or the task at hand), learning from it and not repeating it is what takes to become a man/woman of wisdom.
Particularly in a team wherein disparate personalities come together to exihibit a sole purpose, it's in team members and well as in team leader/captain's hands to let one's negligible mistakes go by giving him/her one more chance!
Cheers,
Archana
