    Beautifully said and I totally second your thoughts.

    Showering love on one's mother on Mothers Day while the rest of the year you disrespect her makes no sense. Similarly, enjoying the first day of the year while you feel dejected, rejected, jealous, envious, etc for the rest of the year makes no sense.
