TEACHER - The True Treasure

The SMS which has changed my educational life style – “Don’t think about marks and grades. They are meaningless. Our capacity is more valuable. Try to improve your all-round capacity. That is the real education. Educate yourself. Be happy”

And this SMS had come to me when I was in M.Tech. I was dearly affected by my first semester grades and was all in tears. One of my childhood teachers had sent me this SMS. I can proudly say today that this precious SMS has changed my educational life style. I started enjoying the education in a very different way and here I’m today with this personality as known to you. This blog is also a part of ‘educate yourself’ mission, as the SMS mentioned.

Teachers are the real treasure of the society. When we start our lives, we see the world with their eyes. And that teaches us many things in wide dimensions. Teachers empower their students with the needed spark. They are precious, very precious to all generations. Their incredible efforts are the one best legacy of them.

Happy Teacher’s Day to all the teachers, and happy birthday to the legendry sir Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan.

I have not yet mentioned the teacher’s name, who had sent the SMS to me. His name is Satyanarayana Meduri. I'm proud to say that he is my father and also a school teacher.

    I didn't know it was teacher's day... probably cause we don't have teacher's day here :) Teachers (school ones and close ones who teach us important lessons) really are the most important people in one's life...

    Pramoda,

    First of all kindly convey Happy Teachers Day to your parents from my side. May their tribe flourish. Where is the second post? Could not find it. We have forgotton concept of Gurus of olden days who used to strive for all round development of pupils. In recent times we may think of Nuns who are strict but compassionate too. There are very few who are dedicated teacher these days. Incidently I never put pressure on my children for grades but to understand what is being taught in a manner to remember it whenever needed for application. I always told them to go for education and not studies.

    This is such a brilliant ode to your father! Should he see this, he will be SO proud to have brought up a daughter as good as you :)

    I am reminded of what my teachers said when I was all weepy on the first day of school. "Teachers are your parents when you are away from home" So true. They actually mold us into the people we become :-)

    Wonderfully written Pramoda, I liked the thought, and really admire the roses on the blog :)

    once up on a time, teacher is one of the most respected person.

    and u know, i have an idea of taking teaching as profession and i think i will take it atleast for few years in my life atleast in my late ages.

    First of all
    "Happy Teachers Day to all the Teachers"

    Teachers are one of the golden gifts given by GOD. They share their knowledge and mould us in such a way that in what way we would like to be. The starting step will be given by them and motivate us to build new one, they give some more support to it and try to make us a respectable person in the society.

    I am proudly say that the credit goes to our first teacher who is nothing but our Mother, who teaches us how to speak and how to behave at others, and how to be in life. Later real teachers give us perfect strength and support, teaches us how to be perfect and more.

    Really Marks wont judge that you are good at everything, because sometimes even if you know by some reasons you may do mistakes.
    But the real thing would be the knowledge lasts with you forever.

    My first school teacher was Mrs. Anuradha. I still remember her and like her very much. I was very much scary when I saw her at my childhood, but later my habituate changed, learnt alot and she appreciated me and cared me alot.

    Your father has given very perfect quote and support to you at right time. For some people it changes their life when they recognise at the same time. Otherwise they will be like me forever ..... hahaha
